Carly Anderson

Born and raised in Emery, Utah, a small rural ranching community, Carly Anderson developed a strong work ethic from an early age. Influenced by the example of her parents, time spent around her grandparents’ cattle ranch, participation in sports, and active involvement in community activities, Carly built a foundation rooted in discipline, resilience, and service.

Carly graduated summa cum laude from Utah Valley University with a degree in Criminal Justice in 2010. She went on to pursue her Juris Doctor at the University of Wyoming College of Law, where she graduated with honors in 2013. Carly is admitted to practice law in Wyoming, New Mexico, and before the United States District Court for the District of Wyoming.

Following law school, Carly served as a judicial law clerk for a state district court judge in Wyoming, where she gained valuable insight into judicial decision-making and courtroom procedure. She then spent more than a decade serving as a prosecuting attorney and assistant town attorney, developing extensive experience in criminal law and municipal matters.

As a litigator, Carly is known for being a hardworking and strategic advocate. She brings significant courtroom experience and a strong skill set in case assessment, legal research and drafting, statutory interpretation, and persuasive presentation. She has also worked closely with partner agencies and stakeholders to ensure thorough case preparation, effective communication, and successful outcomes.

Outside of the office, Carly enjoys playing golf, riding bikes, traveling, and watching sports—including cheering on the Utah Jazz through both the good seasons and the challenging ones. She also values spending quality time with the people she loves.
