Clayton Bradley
Born and raised in Carlsbad, New Mexico, Clayton Bradley has deep roots in the community he now proudly serves. After graduating from Carlsbad High School in 2005, Clayton attended New Mexico State University in Las Cruces, where he excelled both academically and as a student leader. As an active member of the Associated Students of New Mexico State University, he worked to improve campus life while earning the prestigious Crimson Scholar distinction and maintaining a place on the Dean’s List for four consecutive years. He graduated in 2009 with a Bachelor of Arts and Science in Government, Law & Political Science.
Drawn by the opportunity to expand his horizons, Clayton moved to Charlotte, North Carolina, to pursue his Juris Doctorate at the Charlotte School of Law. During his time there, he distinguished himself as a School Ambassador and Editor of the Real Estate Law Review. After earning his degree in 2013 and passing the North Carolina State Bar, he gained valuable experience in various legal roles before deciding to return to his roots.
In 2013, Clayton returned to New Mexico and passed the New Mexico State Bar the following year. He began his career as an Independent Petroleum Landman Attorney, traveling across the state and building extensive expertise in oil and gas law. In 2015, Clayton took on the role of Director of Real Estate & Water Development at his alma mater, NMSU Las Cruces. During this time, he contributed to a landmark case concerning Rio Grande Water Rights, including drafting an Amicus Brief for the U.S. Supreme Court.
Clayton returned to Carlsbad in 2018, where he served as Vice President of Land and In-House Counsel for a privately owned oil and gas exploration company. Over five years, he managed operations on more than 30,000 net acres in the Permian Basin and oversaw 23 affiliated service companies. His work encompassed contract negotiations, regulatory compliance, corporate development projects, and more.
In 2023, Clayton founded Bradley Law Office to address the growing need for accessible, high-quality legal services in his hometown. While he continues to honor his expertise in oil, gas, and land management, Clayton’s practice has expanded to include family-centered estate and trust planning, business and property transactions, dispute resolution, mediation, and arbitration services.
When he’s not in the office, Clayton enjoys spending time with his wife and son, exploring the beautiful state of New Mexico on family road trips, golfing and cheering on the Dallas Cowboys.
As a husband, father, and lifelong Carlsbad resident, Clayton is deeply committed to helping his clients secure their futures and achieve their goals.
